  • Left/Right Cyclic Servo and FBL Parts List

    Hey all,

    Couple of questions.

Is it possible to mount DS610s inside the frames in the front for the left and right cyclic? I was thinking of doing this to help stop the wheels from rubbing on the fusuno canopy.

Are these all the parts I need to make the FBL head? Obv I don't need the matching swash, but I want it Will standard feathering (that I already have) shafts fit?

    FBL.jpg

    Cheers!

not sure if you can mount inside, plus may put more stress on servo tabs, cant you pack out canopy posts ?

are the servo wheels adjustable to get your resolution right, if not put on your shopping list, hope this helps you

Thanks, I'll take a close look when I get home. The metal posts can't be extended as far as I can see, but I've tried the hair dryer trick which helped, but they still rub slightly. Once I go FBL I will be able to use a smaller arm so it won't be as much of an issue.

Regarding wheels, 2 of the 3 servos came with the new 2 hole style align wheels, but I prefer to use 4 way stars as they have more holes to choose from.

Have I got all the parts for the head?

      Thanks!

When I built my 700 the canopy was rubbing on the Main gear so I fitted a couple of tail rotor spacers under the mounting posts this is what you need to do I reckon.

..dont know about the spindles..check the part number in an on-line manual if in doubt..

BUT everything can be extended somehow! If stock canopy posts then easiest to use longer bits of screw thread and sleeve with scrap tube. Also cheapo maplins plastic threaded hex bolts if you want to make up a studded extender with break-off potential.

Yes Harry.. you've got them all... BUT one problem.. the LINKS are the wrong ones! Despite it being the FL ones.. You will find that they are too long!!!! Also, the standard Feathering shaft is fine

The ones to fit the shorter 600 FL shaft are the 700E links.. otherwise you'll find you have around +6 pitch even though they are screwed all the way down, lol!

EDIT: These are the correct links for the shorter shaft! http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/h700...)-p-10802.html

Cool thanks all. Do I actually need the shorter shaft? Or is it just aesthetics?

Its meant to lower the cog for improved flight.. but in all honesty.. us mere mortals will hardly notice the difference! lol!

I done it anyway as I think it looks better.. cos im shallow!

On your servo wheels what side do you have the balls on?? as i have a fusuno canopy and there not touching the canopy also you cant put the servos in side the frames as there isn't enough room, it looks like there is but i tried and it just pushed the frames outwards
