  • keep yer head low! (700 flybarless)

I just ordered a 700N flybarless head, because it's lower than the converted flybar-head (picture). Oh yes. It is.

PS stay tuned for the next episode, where we'll talk about "the perfect boomstrike"

Make sure you also have the FBL short main shaft to really complete that "perfect boomstrike" story

      thanks :-) yes, I do.
now the problem is to get the linkage rods short enough. Isn't it nice that there are so many incompatible ball link types to choose from? The new Align 3G links are incompatible with the old balls.
Standards are great. Let's create another one...

Alright. Tried it. It's excellent. No boomstrike, though.
Use an outrage 550 flybarless linkage set. The rods have just the right length. Then, quickUK long ball links and two balls to the swashplate.
Those have just the right length with the short main shaft and lower head. It's surprisingly difficult to find suitable linkage rods:The Align 3G links use non-standard diameter and ball size and can't be easily adapted.

So did you notice much difference in flight?

I believe so, it rolls better, for example.
I've had only a couple of flights with the old one this year, it's a bit hard to tell.
