unsual cause for vibes?

I;ve been wondering about an odd vibe on my 600 for a little while..thought it might be engine but none of that dry beraing sound ..although the 55 has had several galls rapicon from new and not been changed yet..

..last service (joke = minor ding) I changed the main shaft bearings and main shaft even though they weren't that bad but after bogging it and smackin the ground lightly last week I thoyght I might as well pull egine and do clutch stack bearings too..

Lo & Behold..its missing about 1/3rd of the plastic fan blades off the fan!

Not a spare I think about stocking....

I was goig to rush off to get a new one .but sat pm traffic isn't fun so if weather improves I'll just have to fly some of the others...

Just curious.. whats caused that? Its not unsusual as a unbalanced fan but missing blades

..already ordered one..cheap enough and comes with new magnets...bu thanks..

..although i was mean enough to get the old magnets out as spares.

I haven't got a clue why it's misisng about half the fan blades.. about 16 mths old..either something got sucked in there and stripped them or perhaps a combination of time, the previous overheating YS and then the freezing winter? Presumably when one blade cracks off it bounces about..but never heard any weird flight noises.

I've decided not to worry about it now... stripping and checking all power train bearings and so far no other faults. OS55 bearing in new condition... ho hum..

Got other helis but too dismal out there to bother today...
