        Hey,
Sorry i havnt had time to read the whole post..
I have an interesting issue here.
My hub locked up on its first flight....
Didnt think to much of it, thought i could live with the shorter autos... got annoyed, removed the bearing and this is what i found (Que to look at attached pic).

Not one but Two of the rollers were floating about in the caseing...

I think that bearing failed just a little bit

Have shot off an e-mail to where i bought it.
If these bearings are just failing one after another... whats the best rout from here?
Should i go to a bearing specilist and look for a *better* bearing to eventually replace it with?

Am a little annoyed to say the least. Fuel arrives 2moro, am off to uni in a few weeks so 4 years of very little flying

*Gah*, and the 600 was flying so well.

        Best regards

        Chris Jvr

what it really needs is proper support like every other heli on the market. Most have bushes above and below the one way bearing to support it. some have ball races. I guess align thought they could save a bit of weight by loosing the bearings and the associated housing.

Yeah mines gone after 4 flights, so gonna have to get the new hub and Bush, still think align should replace these at there cost not ours for selling a faulty item that's not fit for the job or supply loads to the shops that's selling them so they can forward them on to customers thats bought this heli from them,

This should be a product recall and be sorted properly rather than making us spend more money out

Dave's 600n original one way kept locking up - though it seemed to be down to hitting the high (governed) headspeed too quickly. Letting it sit at mid speed for a few seconds, then hitting high headspeed seemed to stop it happening - but not completely. Anyway, he replaced the unit recently with the new ones and it locked up once on the first day of use, and has not done it again since. We're monitoring it

My 600n Pro kit has not had any problems.

                Cheers,

we have often had this prob

my first rappys had it as did my freya (sightly more destructive)

putting some teflon oil around it seemed to do the trick.

any of u boys tried that.?
