600 v2 Canopies

I've heard that people have problems fitting the Canomod and Fusuno 600 long nosed v2 canopies due to rubbing on the servo horns when using Align 610's.

Anyone tried either?

I use 1 on mine, you have to put holes for grommets close to edge of cano, then it just clears the 610s and wheels, just mind u but no problem

i have a v2 canomod on my 700 and i had to space the canopy mounts out about 5 mm and now it does not rub i guess you would have to do the same on a 600

Yeah mine rubs on the wheels. What I've had to do is stuff a bit of foam between the wheels and canopy, then go over it with a hair dryer to try and reform it slightly. Just drill the grommet hole as far back and as low as it will go without going too close to the edge. This should lift the canopy up and forward fractionally.

Do the Canomod's come pre drilled or are you just making the holes further back than they suggest?

They're not drilled or even marked, but you can guess roughly where to put it as there is a postage stamp sized extra layer of FG glued on the inside to reinforce the area around the hole.

The fusuno are pre drilled for the nuts but you do need to re-shape it and drill holes for the bottom clip.

get a cloth around it and fill it with hot steam from the kettle, gently squeeze the top down to the bottom as it gets warm.

Hold until cool and its perfectly ok.

The only other problem with the fusuno is that there is no hole under the nose so it can act like a parachute in fast backward flight.
