Well, Mr Dumb Thumbed It, my argument still stands, flybars can and do break, particularly if you're into 3D and hard stops.
When they break, it's generally because of metal fatigue, induced by the pilot doing his "moves"..........it's a fact of life, live with it. If it concerns you that much, carry spare flybars and paddles to the field, that way you'll not lose a flying session because of it.
I assume you're good enough to save a machine with half a flybar ?

and I know it can snap / fatigue , I also know it can be stressed by over tightened fasteners .
