Ah, the name calling starts.Originally posted by dumb thumb it View Postso if you dont have anything useful to say shut your mouth dumb ass !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Take a look at the responses, breaking flybars is a pretty common problem on ALL machines..............but most people realise that fact and don't immediately blame a particular model in such a unfair and inflammatory manner.
Most people can argue their point of view without resorting to name calling and offensive posting, and doing that usually means you've already lost any argument anyway.
There's only one person who looks dumb in this thread, and it ain't me !Janek
Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

on the old knight 3d, trev burley could snap flybar on command
i did my n5 one in about 10 flights and snapped my n9 which is a 4mm flybar in just under 4months of owning it, both happened with in a week of each other, been stood next to matt long and he snapped a trex700 flybar aswell
If i was at my pc i would find u a video of a 3d flight in slow motion, u will b surprized how much the flybar bends, even how far the mains bend aswell actually

no you the one who looks dumb as you have not read the facts, there is a flaw in the metal thats why it broke due to crap metal, you have addednothing help full at all, so if it a common problem its not pilot or building error is it, i hate people like you jump one peoples threads with nothing useful to say just crappy comments. by the way some else said.Originally posted by Janek View PostAh, the name calling starts.

hello pete
the point iam making is its not a build or pilot error there is a flaw in the
metal and it was not being flown hard at the time, on the velocity i was snapping a flybar cage every 2 weeks i got that fed up with them snapping and sold it some 4 cages later, now on that one i was doing very hard stops all the time so that was partly to blame but the cage broke in the same place every time i guess the cage need to be thicker,i think 65% swash mix did not help but thats what it took to get a nice feel to the heli.Last edited by dumb thumb it; 15-11-2010, 01:42 PM.somethings that fly??

When did you last break the "Ring Pull" off a coke can ?Originally posted by dumb thumb it View Postno you the one who looks dumb as you have not read the facts, there is a flaw in the metal thats why it broke due to crap metal, you have added

Can you do it in one attempt ?, unlikely, even if you're pretty strong. So did it break off with one forward and back bend ?, a little bit more likely, but not much more. How about after two forward and backward bends ?, more likely again, but you'll probably need a couple more before the feat is achieved.
Was the metal can at fault ?, was the metal bad ?, or did you, as the person with the can in your hands, wiggle the ring pull backwards and forwards often enough that it broke ?
Does the above simple example explain to you why I'd "blame" the pilot, rather than the flybar, or the metal it was made from ?
THINK about it first, before you jump off the deep end and start flaming someone who takes an opposite stance, because maybe they are correct, and if they are not correct, form a good argument that will persuade them otherwise, rather than resorting to name calling.Janek
