I went with the AR7100 directly into the lipo. There is a thread on here regarding splitting out the power supply to the tail servo through the regulated side of the receiver. All working well so far.

I put one in my 700 with an elyQ reg, multi gove pro,OS91HZ-R motor, 6040 servos cyclic, 650 tail and a 620 for throttle, KDE Direct main bearing blocks i am using a 3G head and 690 3G blades' set up at medium in the beast with expo set to tx @8%t a&e 15% 100% tva 115%rudder. got the head speed set to 1950. 12% pitch this heli is now solid
i have been tweeking it for the past few weeks and found this set up works for me can't wait till next week when hopefully the one's i've orderd turn up for my 600n & 500 nightfly. now with confidence renew'd i can try some new moves without soiling my pants huzar! happy day's

Alex, being in the middle of a 700 purchase and a big fan of the Beasty can you post some pics of your install. I will probably go flybarless with mine over winter.
