  • Fuel Tank Leakage

My trex 700s fuel tank is leaking badly from the inner bung (the bung inside the main frames).

Do you think I could use 5min epoxy to seal it up until a new tank arrives or should I run some bathroom silicone around the bung?

    Any other ideas welcomed.

    Thanks in advance.

What I've done is put a bolt through the bung and then put a washer and nut on the side of the bung that goes into the tank. When you tighten up the nut it squeezes the bung and makes it a better fit in the hole.

I also leave the tank full now as this seems to help keep the bung swollen as it absorbs fuel.

you could try a LHS shop and see if they have a plane tank bung that will fit as these have nut/washers on them to take up the slack and make them fit better
