  • Trex 600 Clutch slip

After recently building a 600LE I was not happy with the late clutch engagement. My NSP does not have the problem and it seems from other messages that it was isolated to LE kits due to Align trying to strengthen them.

I picked up another Align clutch today to replace it Part number HN6028T.

It's identical to the LE kit clutch. The holes are noticably smaller than on the NSP thus although it may be stronger it does not fix the late bite / slipping at low RPM. (1850)

So just a heads up watch for the new stock comming through and consider a Quick uk clutch instead.

Might do that, just wasn't confident that I understood exactly how to do it.

      Thanks Adie

On some of the gasser conversions with slower revving engines the answer has been to reline the clutch with either much thicker liner or as two layers..a thin card followed by the liner.
It's pefectly possible - as I found out- to make it a touch tight just by being heavy with the glue layer and not wrapping the shoes in thick enough tape before seating into the bell while the liner sets

raptor 90 clutch liner here, had same issues until i changed it, now it's sweet, had to trim the outer edge of liner once it had dried, remember the wrap of insulating tape around the clutch to seat the new liner.

Align clutch liner with a lining of A4 paper between the bell and clutch and a single wrap of insulating tape on the clutch. The epoxy soaks through the paper and onto the bell no problem. Don't allow it to have this late engagement too long it normally ends up in throwing a leaf.

Hi Mslater! I have the same issue with my Trex600 Nitro. The HN6028T is the new clutch you use? or is original one you had? If that part was the original one then which is the new part you adquired?

                Thanks for your help!

                Héctor.
