    Cheers,

It's going to replace one of my raptors probably the 30 which has a gy502 os 37 etc so the extra out lay will probably only be for an os 50 hyper & a governor as Basher said I wont end up having to shell out £170 for one poxy lipo to power it for only 7 minuets.
Electric flight has been out priced, idealy we should all be going over to electric flight to keep our flying sites etc but the way were being screwed by importers & resellers in the UK with new technolodgy we are more than likely going to loose more sites than we can ever hope to gain.

Thats Rubish Jamie your lipo if its anything like a normal one will die eventualy & fairly soon if mine were anything to go by.
You have to pay £170 plus post for a good lipo that may last you a year if your lucky. I pay £16 a gallon for my fuel so I get 10 gallons at least to your one lipo. My hyper cost me £105 I didnt have to pay £120 for a balance pro charger either & I dont have to wait an hour for my fuel to be charged. Dont get me wrong I love electric flight I'm just pointing out some of its down falls expense being the bigest one of them.

      • ok well work it out like this. one battery = £170 = approx 200 flights, maybe more. on my hyper i was getting approx 10 tanks out of £16, so £160 of fuel will get you 100 flights, but dont forget some of that time will be spent tuning the engine, running it in etc. and while you may not have to buy a balance pro charger, you will have some form of quick charger, and conversely, i dont have to buy any starting gear, glow igniters etc, so its 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

Im sure i will probably end up having another nitro machine as a second machine, but in the mean time im really looking forward to electric

        • You'll love electric I'm sure...... but....

It will cost you more than you think and be ready to spend £500 at least on packs to give you a comfortable days flying.

Also be ready for a truck sized battery to charge your packs all day.

Having flown Geegars 600e I would love to swap to fully elctric, but most flyers still do both.

              • Well my 600N is all built and set up and i have had the engine running in the garden, all is sweet

Overall it was not the most straightforward build but the finished article looks stunning,,,she flies tomorrow

After having 4 failures in the last couple of weeks,a pinion on the 600E,a Lipo on the 600E and an XL motor on the 600E and a counter gear stripping on a Knight Sport,,i wont be doing anything adventurous with it for a fair while to allow me to gain confidence in it

So tomorrow its hovering and maybe circuits
