i take it that was aimed at me the comments were correct at the time.of writing based on the video

as it turns out the video was stretched making it look taller than it is. now i have the 2 next to eachother the frame layout, cg heigh, boom height etc are very very similar.

im yet to see exactly how good the cyclics and collective response are as im running in a freshly rebuilt hyper. once its run in and i have the setup tweeked to my taste we will see just how good this heli flies.

Its hard to tell much about a heli as i said at the time,I thought the cyclics looked fast enough but it did look a bit odd i agree being stretched


Having had chance to see one in the flesh the proportions look correct and the overall layout is pretty good although i still wish that anti rotation guide was behind the swash but thats a petty point..

The 600E head as far as i am concerned is stunning and cyclics are very sharp with the correct set up so i assume this heli will behave in a similar manner,it will all be down to personal taste and the setup but i agree that the machine has yet to fully prove itself but i am pretty sure in the right hands,ie not mine it will be as good as any other 50 currently available and will be my personal choice due to my liking of my current Align models

Ade not just u tbo there are a few in there that made me laff, the thing that always give me a giggle is the sponsored flyers saying how great the products they fly is and how crap the rest are, and from the post on this site alone its easy too see.

Is it still too early for a direct comparison with the Knight 3d Ade?

i think its still a bit early for a true comparison. I would like to get 50+ flights on it and see how its holding up before a do a proper comparison.

but they do seem to fly very similarly. The weight and CG location are very similar both are push pull CCPM.

the only real differences are the shaft drive tail on the trex and the gear ratio.

the shaft drive is definitely more accurate and it definitly autos better which means there will be a little more power available for the rotorhead in normal flight.

i need to spend some more time tuning the new engine its barely run in and i have been running it pretty rich. but in theory the 8.5:1 on the trex will give more punch due to the higher headspeed when running the engine at peak power but at the expense of torque.
