Noticed the top bearing was knackered and gritty so have replaced it. Can't say I noticed any loctite holding the bearing into the block - should there be?

Yes just smear loctite with the finger should be enough to hold it dont load it up could be an absolute bitch to get out again and may also enter bearing and cause problemsT-rex700 flybarless Beastx

I used a spot of the red stuff in mine. Also I sat a main shaft in place to keep both bearings perfectly in line over night while it set.Henseleit TDR

Harry youll be wanting anerobics retainer (green coloured stuff) ;-) just a smear on the outside will do the trick, try not to get it in the bearing casing itself.Comment
