Depends on the type of wood you are cutting. Fir trees are a low wear tree and you can fell almost a whole forest on one blade!
As soon as you get into oak, maple, etc it's a different story although I do understand from my sources that there will be an Diamond upgrade available in the next few months

I understand from my sources that a different gear ratio is required for carbon blades. They might be considering g10 as the "soft option" but carbon steel is currently the most cost effective.
