Help Align Gov Settings on my 700n

I seem to be having some problems with the Align gov on the 700 i know the magnets are correct as the light on the gov flickers but thats not the problem i dont hear the engine pick up on climb outs or rolls and stuff i have it set to 95% on aux2 and it changes from red to green when i flick the switch and the engine speeds up when i do so but thats the only time so is there something else i should be doing ??

what radio is it, and if dx7, you have too much end point in, i run about 83, to give head speed around 1980 or around this. i would say that your engine is screaming its nutts off al the time

Even an engine gov won't help if the engine is running a bit rich, if you find it is still bogging, try to tune it a bit more, but defo lower the aux2 settings to around 80%, if you go to high the engine will overheat and will cause loss of power or worst blow a piston

With the Align governor the only way to be sure on the headspeed is to use a tacho. Done once then you will know for sure what the atv needs to be. Don't guess on the figures supplied being correct.

and im gonna tacho tomorrow

im sure its not running rich as im using a carb smart and running 100 degs the back plate after a flight is hot but not too hot to touch i can hold my thumb/finger on it i have been told its perfect

Not sure I fully understand the original post. The govenor is supposed to keep a constant RPM whatever you do with pitch.

can you describe more about what you expected and what is happening because reading your post I would say it's doing its job.

i think it could be working then perhps i just expected to hear the engine tone change on climbouts and falls stunts etc so today im gonna try lowering the atv percentage to aroung 70 and test then go back to 85 or what ever gets me to 1980 - 2000

you dont need a tacho to do this, in the instructions for align guv you set the engine rpm to the atv and calculate the head speed. and a head speed of 1950 needs about 80% atvfor a 90.
