  • 600 LE Build questions

Hi, I have just started to build up my 600 le and have a couple of questions.

Got as far as putting the tank in (following Finless Bob's vids) and he sugests getting shot of the Align fuel tube but his build is on a Nitro pro and the tube in the newer le kit looks different. Also I have a Quick UK header tank and should I leave the standard clunks in both tanks, are they reliable enough.

I was also thinking of putting in a Raptor 90 clutch liner from the start.

There also seems to be a lot of tail failures posted on this site is that also something worth changing from the start.

Thanks in advance for any replies I am sure there will be plenty more as the build progresses.

    Cheers
    Chris.

If the clunk for the main tank is pointed then it is worth cutting a bit off the end and then putting a cross cut in the end. This will allow fuel to flow should the clunk touch the tank side.

The clunk in the QUK header is fine. All you need to be careful of in both tanks is the clunk can move around without getting stuck in a corner.

Leave the clutch for now and see if it works.

The tails fail IMO because the pre-assembled hubs have had the bolts over-tightened. Disassemble the hub and after a thorough clean put it back together using new bolts to hold the grips on.

I changed all the fuel lines on my LE build. People do use the standard stuff but I didn't want to take the risk.

The Clutch i I just pulled the old liner out, lined the clutch bell with paper, coated with Epoxy then put a new clutch liner in and it has been as good as gold for me. Every LE kit that I have seen has an issue with the clutch biting really late and could cause the clutch to snap!

There has been issues with the tail, my tail pitch slider came apart in flight causing a crash so I got a new one and took it apart, threadlocked it again and put it back together and have had no more issues after 3 gallons of fuel through it!

      Hope this helps
