  • 600 flybar lengths

    hi,

can someone explain why the 600 lists two different flybar lengths? 400mm and 440.

i bought some awhile back but didnt realise it was 400mm.
    whats the reason for this?
is it to do with increased stability or better 3d performance?

    thanks Jon

I think it is.. Longer for more stability.. shorter for sharper cyclics.. I still bow to a more knowledgable addict!!

longer flybar length gives you faster cyclic and more stable hover, so its a win win scenario. 440mm makes a notable difference. I would hunt down the longer version if I where you.

A longer flybar will make your cyclics more responsive

yeh i got a 440mm bar off one of the club members as this was the size i had on it before she fell into the floor but i was just wondering why theres two different ones.
but if the 440 is the best one why do they bother making the 400mm?
          Thanks

Shorter flybars give you better stability in wind, due to the smaller disc area they create in the air.

The 400mm was the original length for the 600e. I think the 440mm was introduced when the 600n was lanuched. It was the cheapest upgrade I ever made to my 600e . Can't anwser why it was 400mm in the first place, but its been 440mm in all kits since.
