  • Header tank location

I went and got a header tank friday and struggled to find a good location to put it until I caught an image where someone had mounted it on the tail boom brace, heres how ive mounted mine

Has any one had problems mounting it like this/ in this position or recommendations on mounting it else where.

Sorry mate that looks fugly sitting there..

T-Rex 600 use the lower bearing block mount. It fits perfect and looks a treat..

    Look at this.

I know it does mate I thought that when I put it on :/.
Im looking for, like youve mentioned, some sort of stand off so I can attach it like yours which was my original idea.

That is a nice job for sure. If you are tight and don't want to purchase the standoff then get some of the ming yang double sided tape and stick the header tank to the main. It works a treat. Put silicone rtv round the edge of the tape to seal it from fuel.

3M double-sided tape has worked for me for over 3 years.

I use industrial Velcro on mine and it is rock solid! You can pick the heli up by the header tank and swing it around.

LOL! I was a bit paranoid about whether it would come off in flight so picked it up to see how much force it would take. That industrial velcro is bloody strong!! In fact it's a nightmare to pull the header tank off at all.

Sorry to hi jack the thread. I have one of the standoffs from the Vision 50 kit left. Will this work as a standoff OK?
