Self straightening booms!!

I botched an inverted auto last week and ended up dropping about 10ft onto the skids with no head speed. The skids, tail fin and boom were toast (or so I thought)
I ordered the parts I needed and last night started the repairs.
Imagine my surprise when I undo the QUK boom clamp and Twang!the boom is now straight again!! It was proper banana'd before but is now as straight as new! LOL

nothing compared to your surprise when it goes "TWANG" again in a week and a shower of parts rains down, including a boom that's back to banana shape

Had exactly the same thing with my 700s tail boom a couple of weeks ago,it looked beyond repair but when i undid the clamp it just sprung back into place!
