  • 600 Tail Linkages

Have many of you peeps upgraded the 600N tail linkages?

I only ask as I feel the metal tail control rods flex's to much and I want to take away some slop. I've been looking around and the Quk one, seems to be for the 600E? Which means I got to search for a longer rod to go with the end fittings but then theres no mention of the OD/ID rods by Quk?

Any suggestions or alternative kits or shall I just leave it?

They work fine as they are, what makes you think there is too much slop. I have to admit mine is getting on a bit but slop isn't something I've noticed.

      Havent done a 600 but have done a 450 and 500....

Keep the orignal pushrod and get a piece of CF tube that fits over it... cut it just a bit shorter than the distance between the rod ends so you have a little adjustment and fit with a little bit of 2 pack...

Then you wont have any friction as you wont need the rod guides.... nad the ends wont come off like happens to the quick ones (i know my Rappy did it)

        Hi Dave,

I know its not alot but the the shorter link from servo wheel to rear lever flex's way to much when you apply L/R stick and its not due to exceeding tail limits. Also at full L/R stick with the normal vibes, you can see the rod vibrate. The Rappy's, Logo's, Synergy's, Kasama etc, have carbon tail control rods, so was thinking a little more bling and prefer something more solid and direct with instant control.

Thanks Steve, I was wondering about the security off the ends! Think Im settled then, I'll do the 450, 500 and the side tail rod on the 600 like you mentioned!!

I have changed mine to quick uk ends onto carbon rod, no guides. I felt the same as the original wire bent and caught in the guides if the guide moved, plus whats the point of a top gyro and tail servo to lose the control to a thine flexable wire, since I have changed mine the tail is rock steady.
