I'm considering buying a 700e FBL with Align packs. Has anybody got one of the new purpose built Align 700 e? This will be my first big electric heli so keeping the lipos fit and healthy will be my main consern due to the cost. any tips with Lipo care or the build of the heli??

Don't know if they have any, but Leeds model shop are usually one of the cheapest for Align kits.

Hi mate, I nearly completed my flybarless 700e conversion running,

• Align 700 flybarless head,
• Skookum 720 flybarless system with external power bus,
• Scorpion 4035-400kv
• 8mm Mod 1 13T pinion with Align 115T mod 1 main gear,
• Castle Creations 110HV running version 3.2 firmware with auto-rotation enabled,
• Castle Creations BEC Pro 10 amps continuous 20 amps peaks,
• 2x 6s Turnigy 5000Mah 25/35c packs
• Align DS610's on cyclic,
• Align DS650 on tail.

A friend of mine is using 25C Zippy Flightmax packs in his 700E conversion and it runs well with these, he also has some ThunderPower 5000 6S extreme packs and one has puffed at 50 cycles plus he reckons the Zippy packs have always had more punch.

I'm using the Turnigy 20C 5000 6S packs in my Trex 550E and they perform well, usually landing barely above ambient temperature plus I could buy 4 and pay only £200 including shipping, although the £ is weak against the $ at the moment so they're not quite as cheap.
