  • Dropping the motor out of my 600

Hi, I need to drop the motor out of my 600 but I don't have a manual.

Looking at it, it looks like the four engine mount screws, four engine cover screws, the black wire on the back plate from the onboard glow, throttle linkage and the pressure pipe off the exhaust and it should drop out. Looks and sounds too easy....

Is that really it or are there any other screws I need to know about ?

fingers x'd they all come out in one piece without rounding off....

    thanks

You need to take the undercarriage and base plate off and remember the screws for the fan shroud and out she should come after you have done the rest you said about

Sounds like you have them all. The engine just drops down out of the clutch bell.

The instructions are available to download if you google it. Try Midland helis and also Helifreak.

I've just googled the T600 manual and according to Mr Align the motor and fan shroud go in with the skids and base plate already fitted but the motor not on the motor mount, that's already attached to the frame...

Not sure if you can remove the motor to motor mount screws in situ.. I'll have a look tonight.

          thanks again..

It is possible to remove the engine without taking off the bottom plate/skids it's just a bit fiddly to do.

Yes, just done it. I had to remove the throttle arm from the engine and wind the mixture screw right in but it came out, no problems.

just need to fund the parts now...
