Fuel tank leaking

Went out today, and noticed fuel dripping from the 700, so landed and it was pouring out of the blanking plug in the tank. Had a quick search on here, and there are several ways people have cured it. The favourite seems to be putting a bolt through it with a washer and nut on the inside to squeze it up. How do you hold the nut to do that? (using YS so lots of tank pressure)

I had an ever so slight leak on my bung. What i did was take it out, soak it in fuel for while to make it expand, then put it back in. That did the trick for me, might work for you too.

Well the first job is done, the tank just pushed out because of all the fuel over it!

I did read about a servo wheel being cut down to fit through the hole, and use a bolt to thread into that to squeeze the bung tight. May try that and then fill the tank a see if that works.

I had exactly the same problem, i removed the bung put some silicon sealant on it and popped the bung back in and has been fine since.

Sorted now guys, I used a Futaba small wheel servo disc, dremeled it to size and drilled the centre hole to 3.3mm, and taped it to M4. Then used a s/steel M4 button head bolt and washer through the bung and screwed on the disc at the back and pushed the whole lot in the tank. Nipped it up, filled 3/4 full of fuel and put some air pressure in there and all is fine.
