  • T-Rex 700 and Quark

OK, so I have a Quark on my 700 along with a S9256 tail servo. I have the futaba four point cross servo arm on there and the ball is on the furthest hole. However, I am flying at 90% gain and still not getting any wag. None of the servo arms I have are bigger than the one on there but to me running at 90% means I haven't got enough mechanical gain?!

What is everyone else running at (how many mm out for the ball and what gain)

    something is not right there.

where are you reading 90% gain from?

Good point! I am using the gain channel for setting my gain, not the gyro sense menu (DSX9). On the gain channel endpoints I am at 90%, this is way higher than any other heli I have.

I have that setup on my 700 using a dsx9 but I use the gyro menu and am at 70% gain

        I'am 13.5mm i think out from centre.

Its the 2nd hole in on my horn.

You havent got some strange mix enabled (like a hover pitch on a knob for example) which is altering the rate of that channel ?

OK so just measured and the horn I am using it is 13.5mm out from centre on the last hole. I have Torsion 106mm tail blades on there.

Just checked my TX and I am using gyro sens menu! It is 94% on the gyro sense menu to get it to hold when inverted, there is no wag at this setting! There are no mixes setup anywhere. Guess I need to find an arm which goes to 15mm or so?

EDIT: Just found a wheel in the BLS251 box that goes out to 19mm, so gonna put that on with the ball at around 15mm and see how that goes

Are you sure you've got the travel maxed out? I had the same problem on mine when setting up my Solid G. 95% on the DX7 and no wag.
I'd left a bit of travel in each direction spare. Increased it to the max and my gain is now back down to about 55%.
