  • trex 700 tail rotor question

    Hey guys,

Building my 700LE at the moment and have a question for you guys, Ok the T-type arm that screws onto the slider shaft it has socket screws on half way down the arm either side, When i screw the scews up( i talking just over finger tight) the whole thing does not run smothly on the shaft, is it a case of just tweeking it till it gets smooth and let the thread lock hold the screws in?

Hope this makes sense. cheers in advance guys!

Not quite sure what you mean but if you are saying that the pitch slider is not running smooth on the output shaft then i know what you mean, mine was not good on mine and had to change the output shaft and the pitch slider, is alot better now

      Hey.

Yes basically, I've had to tweek in that area recently to remove a slight roughness and found a similar thing. As you say just use a little loctite and nip up the screws lightly.
You might find in time with some wear on the assembly you can nip them up a little tighter.

I found the same thing -you really couldn't tighten those bolts very much without the slider becoming rough. Not been a problem so far though.
