  • 600 Swash locating pins

On my 600 np, I can push my swash down so it comes out of the locating pins (when moved by the servo movement it can't go down that far, so it wont come out in flight).

    Does everbody else's do this?

The reason I ask is because when i pack the heli away and move the blades about to put in the holder on, it can come out of the guides, and so I have to remember to check that its in correctally each time I fly after putting the heli away.

Mine came out on the 500 without me noticing and I have to say it flew like a pig (I put the video on here yesterday).

Same thing though, the servos would never make it travel down that far, it is only packing and unpacking that does it.
Life's a bitch and then you fly!!

It does tend to happen on most heli's, but shouldn't really be a problem as you will pick up on it on your pre checks before flying.

More chance of them binding on the swashplate then...

            Cheers,

This is very strange, on both my 600 Pro and 600 Sport, this doesn't happen, never has. Both these models are from the first batches into the country, but can't see how that can affect it, unless Align have changed something along the way ?

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

Yes, but the op was referring to the 2 pins that come down from the head block and guide the washout base. At least I am assuming he was.

Okie Dokie.. Well if thats the case then how come Jamin_00 changing a to a QuickUk swash solve the problem?

I've just checked mine and dont have that problem on my Align Heli's.. must be a fortunate one!

I don't know what he was referring to regarding quk, but I am pretty sure the op was referring to those pins.

I also have an LE and those pins are too long. I have a scratched swash plate from them (not caused in flight though).

I didn't have this problem until I changed to a QuickUK swash.
The QUK swash is physically much thinner than the original Align one and, when moved to the extreme, can and does come away from the guide pins.
Never had the problem before the change though.
                          Adrian.

Is it worth changing to save the binding issue with the stock align one?
