Only you knows the real reason for wanting a 90 size heli Martin.

Despite what you hear elsewhere the T-Rex 700 is the most affordable 90 size out there with most parts only a couple of pounds difference from your 600.

As Sesame states, the running costs are higher "ie" fuel and the engine and blades are higher cost too.

Its not "if you crash" but when because it will happen.

The bottom line is any 90 size heli is by far easier to fly that your current line-up. FACT.!!!

Enjoy it if you buy it.

        NO!!

Align have this and will not be beat any time soon on cost of ownership.

Yes others are close but the thing with Align is you get 2 of everything when you buy spares and they are still either cheaper or very close to their rivals prices.

If cost of ownership is a big thing then you will not beat Align.

You know what your doing and you have heard and read all the comparisions and bashings before so pay your money and get what you like

btw, Did I say just how much you will love it lol

          Outrage 90 then

If its anything like the Velocity 50, it will fly much better than the 600 and spares are even cheaper than Align!

Sometimes there's the element of 'life's too short' to deny yourself something you really want, which is why people buy Ferraris.

So if you really want something then go for it, be informed, but at the end of the day it's about having fun (within certain levels of moderation of course).

Martin, when I was having thoughts about selling my 700 you chipped into the thread, I have read your articles in Rotorworld, something along the lines of when you fly your 450 you smile when you fly your 600....".
From personal experience the 700 is a big bird, and I found it too much for my flying skill/level.
If I was to offer anyone advice it would be to become a competent flier before buying a .90 size machine. In this case size does matter.

              Good luck

I had a T-Rex 600 and I didn't like its forward flight characteristics. I can't remember if it drop its nose as it went forward or pitched up. I now have a T-Rex 700. There is no comparison between the two.

The 700 is not just a bigger 600. It is a completely different beast. It flys so nice and in a straight line. It does need a maticulous check over pre and post flight. It is not uncommon for screws to work loose unlike any other model I have owned. It is nice to work on and all the electronics can be fitted neatly up front hiding the excess wiring under the elevator servo. The Align 91H / OS 91HZ (black head non-pumped) runs very nice and produces plenty of power. I am using the Align 90 muffer; it doesn't produce the most power but sounds quite nice to me. The Align 690D blades work very well. Again I am sure there is better but for starting out all the Align stuff is producing good results for me.

Nearly sold mine after a small tip over with the 3G. Bought the spares, rebuilt it and flew it (with the flybar head back on), amazing machine.

It was suggested to me today, by a supplier we all know here, to get a 700, but I have got to be honest, its the last helicopter I would wish to own, they are just to common, like frigging starlings, down the field there are loads of them, now the Avro I would love to own, maybe one day.

Indeed! When you're like 100 years old and start to get that feeling you might just kick the bucket any day and people come up and ask "so, do you have any regrets ? " My guess is you wont be saying "Oh yes if only, if only I could do it all again I'd have never bought that god-forsaken Trex 700 !"
