spartan 760 gro prob

ok dudes

i was flying the other day in a bit of a funnel with my 600le 780 gyro/650 tail and the tail blew around 180 degrees and then spun back.
so i changed the gyro and tail servo for the spartan 760 and the bls251.
now i've got a wiggle, when you fly around in a funnel the tail wiggles like a "wing wing wing wing wing wing" just say the words in your head lol.

it also was drifting so i don't think it's a wag it's more of a wiggle.

anyone else had the same prob??

it's got the normal white pad then the metal plate then a thicker pad that came with the gp780

just a thought after reading the flutter thread anyone know what the best distance from the centre of the servo the ball needs to be on the 600?

Check that Align pad - I used one with my 760 and it started to fail after 5 flights.

Whatever it needs to be so that you can run 100% deflection both ways in the PC menu at full stick.

It is just tail wag as you commonly see it in hover. But in this case it manifests in more aggressive conditions. This is why the gyro user guide states "The optimal gain value is the highest value you can reach that goes not cause tail wag at any time during flight."

Reduce the gain until it goes away. If the gain becomes too low move the servo ball link a little closer to centre to reduce the mechanical gain.

Angelos i am getting a bit of drift if i turn it down too much and if i put the ball closer to the center of the servo i won't get as much travel. i know i can increase the travel limits but that may affect the resolution of the gyro??

all you should need to do is move it in a hole and increase the travel limits. resolution is more than the end points. the heli you have it on has too much mechanical gain imo so you need to run a shorter horn and put the end points up a touch.
