  • Going 3G FBL for beginner's??

    Morning all!

Ive been reading alot off mixed bag reviews on the Align 3G FBL systems, with alot off people favouring the V-bar.

Now I dont do 3D (yet ) and still calling myself a beginner.. so all the tail kick from prio's etc with the 3G system aint going to bother me. Now I'm thinking about going 3G FBL, as even for my flying style.. I've heard it gives the heli a vast improvement on fying control & stability as long as im not stick banging!

As your the experts.. do you think its worth me going FBL or stick with the FB till later... I dont care about the money.. just want things that will help me progress quicker!

Spend your money on fuel or Lipos for sticktime.

I have tried/owned a few fbl systems and the one thing they will give you over a flybar is slightly more power/duration in most applications. As for straight and true flying,a decent flybar head will give you that.

save the hassle/money and buy more fuel. will help you progress far more than a fbl system.

i'm maybe biased though as i have had a vbar and a 3g-both now gone and back to the flybar, flybarless is just not for me yet. perhaps the skookum/cye one will be better.

      cheers

id personaly stick with a flybar,id say myn has bags more power and holds well in big moves but the added power has meant iv had to smooth my flying out,its very responsive i now fly expo and didnt before i would say it would have been a handfull if i was only learning more than an aid

Okie.. 13 gallons of Coolpower 20, it is!!

Its only because a guy I know, says its made vast improvements to his flying/heli behaviour compared to his previous FB set up!

One of the benefits can be self leveling.

The Skookum 720 has that . It can be switched off if not needed. That can save your machine and give you some confidence.

My dad is going to visit me soon, and I asked him to bring me a 600 esp and a 3g unit. I hope it gonna be good. Well since I am not good with 3d, I think the 3g well be just fine.

For a newbi, going for FBL is good coz a 450 fbl is stable enough, i think.
