  • align 2-1 reg or servo

went flying on sunday first flight since rebuild, after tail pitch slider snapped on my 600le 5-6 flights intotal all ok
went to the field to day switch on my tranny then the heli found that all 3 swash servo's not working
on investigation found all 3 align ds610 servo's have failed ,checked the voltage output from the align 2-1 reg reading 5.8 volts
dose any body no of any issues with these regs or servo's as i not used these before
beginning to think align quality is poor

Definition of your failure? No sign of power to servos or erratic movement or sound but no turning of wheels? The align wheels are notorious for being sacrifical on their splines. Have you checked using another Rx?

no movement from the servo no noise and you can turn the servo wheel with no resistace
swop with futaba servos all working ok
but what is odd i did a servo test with my tranny and it showed the servo moving on the test but they were still

If you're viewing tx output then that's meaningless..unless you have some fancy feature i don't know about that allows you to attach a servio directly to the tx. It jts means the tx is sending iof.. not that the rx is receiving or the servo responding.

Certainly odd if you burned out the motors on all 3 cyclics at the same time. suggests one went under extreme load and the current draw shot way higher than I'd have thought the 2:1 could deliver..or they were all jammed and went down like dominoes. I'd be very tempted to pull one apart, remove all gears and case and see whether there's anything happening when plugged in...(just make sure it's all on insulation)

There's no way you could have burned out 3 servos at the same time. the fault has to be common to all three, ie reg or rx
