      Nice looking bling but I would rather have plastic, there is something to be said for haing cheap to replace areas of weakness. With these on, the servo gears have no chance.

          I actually would buy a set of these... A couple of weeks ago performing my usual pre-flight checks and tugging on the servo-swash links, the elevator moved.. I thought the servo has packed up, but after taking the align servo wheel off i found it had a few of the teeth stripped.. These were new from the packet and the heli has had a few flights with them.. I only had a bit of a heavy landing with it once that broke the tail fin and stripped the torque tube gear.. So nothing major.. So i would probably feel a lot happier having the metal ones over the plastic..

          But it also showed me how important are the pre-flight check.. I would hate to think what would have happened if i didn't spot it and went ahead with my flight

            They do look nice but I think the cost may make them hard to justify?

            Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

              I had the very same with my 700 some time back Mo.

              Luckily I spotted it in my pre flight checks too but actually got to the flightline before I spotted the swash at a stupid angle at mid stick.

              Could have been very serious had I not seen it.

              Still got plastic wheels fitted to mine but like you am very tempted to buy these.

              A set of servo gears are very cheap compared to the whole heli going in due to plastic servo wheels stripping.

                Out of interest, and I should know this, what format are the splines on the Align servos?

                  Align = Futaba.

                  Having said that they cater for both Futaba and JR hence the letter "J" and "F" on the latest alloy wheels.

                  Same with the 3G Flybarless System, You get plastic wheels to suit both brand of servo's.

                  Hope this helps.

                    Thanks Tim. Answers my question "Why aren't they doing any for Align servos?"

                      I recently removed a set of QUK metal servo wheels in favour of plastics. A crash cost me much more due to replacing (expensive) gears/case sets in an 8915 whereas the sacrificial plastic wheels would have stripped instead.

                      Sometimes the bling ain't worth it guys!
