OK, so the manual says 125mm from the flybar cage to the paddle (stock paddles that is). What distance shout the CF paddles be as they don't have that step?

When screwing them on to the flybar do they screw tight or do they rely on the grub screws for security?

Should I apply loctite between the flybar and the paddle, or just on the grub screws?
    Thanks!
    Harry

Just to the grub screws and as long as they are equal lengths apart you will be fine.
The closer together the faster the response will be and the further apart the slower it will be.

Oh and I screw them on just till the thread dissapears.

That's what I was thinking, thanks.

What I did in the end was measure the shoulder of the standard paddle (as the carbons don't have this 'step') which I found to be 8mm. I added this to the 125mm in the manual, so from the flybar cage (the main bit, not the steb with the grub screw) to the paddle is 132mm

Any tips for getting them level, or just use the good old fashionded mk1 eyeball?

Eyeball them up with the 2 screws on the flybar cage, or use a pitch gauge and get them to 0 pitch while lining them up with the edge of the blades.
