Metal Boom Block

Hi there,

The boom block on my 600 has developed a stress fracture in the plastic, from I assume and overtightened bolt to lock the boom.

Is there a metal upgrade anywhere?

Buy another stock plastic jobby and "pin the boom" that instead of over tightening the new one.

drill the side of the block and screw in a short self tapping screw to lock the boom in place

The one in my kit came with a screw and hole already to be pinned

My LE came with the block pre drilled and a screw to pin it!

I'm hoping they do a metal one too, I find the plastic one a PITA to get apart when changing the gears
