  • t rex 600le crash

nice sun day today so i thought i would go flying ( wish i didn't)
went to the field unloaded my heli's and plane and noted the tail rudder got damage in transit, so i put the plans back in the van and closed the door and locked the doors
unable to get my t rex 700 to start for some reason any way went straight to my t rex 600le started it up went into an nice steady hover despite it been quite windy turn it and did a couple of circuit
then the heli start to pirote and the stop then pirote again tried to land it on he field but had to put in down away from me man did some damage
went to load every think back into my van and found the lock was jammed
had to remove one of the rear windows
on stripping down found he cause of the crash the tail pitch collar had snapped off where it screws into the yoke
    damage so far
blades ,tail blades, main shaft, flybar. tail pitch slider. skids, head yoke, right hand frame lower frame bracket the one under the skids
i wished i stayed at home

Sorry to hear of your bad luck buddy, the only uplifting information I can give you is that it happens to all of us at some point and so your not alone.

From a crashing point of view I like to get back up and flying again as quickly as I can as no matter how good you are crashing does knock your confidence, it's even worse when it wasn't your fault either. So I'd say get out there and fly again just to feel good and to stay confident.

      Are you sure it snapped?

Mine unscrewed itself but i originally thought it had failed,i did loctite it also.

Luckily on that occasion got mine down in one piece.

Yup same here, mines unscrewed itself as well a couple of weeks ago, then sheared when we were bench testing it so it has a new one on it!
