  • Trex 700-Align Flybarless 3G Tail Gyro values

    Guys,

Just had the FBL 3 G installed weather permitting I would take it out tomorrow for a play.

What values are you using on the gyro please on a Spectrum DX7:
    Normal mode
    H Hold mode

anything I should watch out for that was not mentioned in the manual ?

    Thanks in advance

Make sure the single wire plugs into the rx are glued in place ! i also had a problem with the four wire connector, one of the pins pushed out when fitted to the sensor so give it a good wriggle about,i am not the only one to have had this problem set both gains to 12 o'clock and it will fly fine you will just need to reduce them as you get a feel for it.Have fun

I have both my gains set at the 9 oclock position.
Am hearing good things about the edge blades, seem to be getting good results, and allow the gains to be increased again

          Hi Guys

I was wondering if you guys have come across this on the 3G Flybarless for the Trex 700.

First flight without the flybar was yesterday, I had to drop the gain on Ail and the Elev to 9 O'clock as suggested, after that the heli was almost perfect. As it wants to go forward slightly so I adjusted the trim two clicks back on the TX and it hovers hands off.

During flights is good and tracks well. However, as soon as you flick Heading hold ON, the tail waggle on any gentle or hard turn left or right. I adjusted the ATV on the TX for the HH (going down of the % and when I had no joy I started going up and still no improvement).
Not until of one of the guys at the field suggested moving the ball link on the servo arm by one hole (10mm from the servo centre and now during fast flight, the waggle is not noticeable or hardly there but I get a slight noticeable waggle on the hover if I have it on heading hold!

How can I stop that annoying waggle in slow flight, hover ? Any ideas and advice is much appreciated guys.

My settings and set up are as following:
          TX, Spectrum DX 7
Head speed 1850 RPM and using the Align blades
Ail and Elev set to 9 Oclock on the 3G box
Gyro on normal flight mode is 60% and on Heading Hold is 75%

          Regards
