  • Trex 600LE Pitch Range

Been setting up my LE and as Im using A 55 I thought I could probably squeeze a little more pitch out of it to make stops a little more snappy, but all im getting is + - 11 degrees and even on this range im getting some binding on the bottom end.

I was just wondering what sort of ranges other people were managing to find.
    All the best
    Tony.

    I use about that.

I also move the main shaft collar under the bearing block instead of on top of it to get a bit more throw

does that not allow the main gear to move down a little because notmally its squeezed between the bottom and the top bearing, also have you flipped the bearing over?

I use two collars, sorry should have mentioned.

They are inbetween the 2 top bearing blocks

yes that makes more sense, and im assuming you have flipped the top bearing block, so the bearing cant popout on the retaining plate

Just get a QuickUK swash, that way you can get +/- 14

Before converting to flybarless, I'm sure I was running around +-13 degrees on the stock 600LE.

Make sure zero pitch is setup at the middle of the pitch range and you should be good to go.
              Cheers,

when I first set mine up with all servos centres and the elevator arm at 90, the max I could achieve was +- 11 without binding and my swash travel for elevator and aileron were pretty low. this was using the stock control rod lengths. In the end I decided to lengthen the control rods and as a result had to have the elevator arm slightly off 90. but im now Im running +-12 and have a nice swash travel without binding.

                hope that makes sense

call me shallow but as its the LE the Quick uk dont make one in the same finish so thats out for now even though I know it will do the job.

Ill recheck the position of 0 see if I can lift it a little as its at the bottom end the binding is occuring.

cheers guys I didnt want to mess around with the setup unless I knew I could get what I wanted.

Just took the head off mine to level the swash and reset up the pitch, but only able to get 12+/- max without binding.

Im using the Quk swash too. Would get a bit more if the mainshaft bearing blocks didnt have that lip around the bearing.
