Align 2in1 Regulator

I had one which did this dodgy connection thing
The unit was secondhand and it was sealed with a smear of silicon
The silicon got inside the switch
I took the switch apart and cleaned it all out and it works fine now

On a new unit check that the factory blob of silicon has not gone inside the switch

Yeah, likewise i completely removed the silicon blob, and cleaned out the entire board and the switch. I'll be paranoid about it now, so think i'll opt for the solder treatment

All regulators will take a small amount of current if left connected, especially with a fail safe switch. I think the manual even advises to dis-connect if left for a period of time.

Well the switch in the 2in1 was behaving itself until yesterday. Just after i landed i noticed i had NO control of the heli whatsoever - nice.

When i looked at the battery indicator it was dead, and when i tapped it, it lit up again. Not impressed............ I've soldered over the switch connectors and it's permanantely on now, and i'll just unplug the battery to switch it off, through the hole on the bottom of the canopy. Better than totalling 700 notes worth of heli into the dirt!

Anyone know of any good switches and mounts that can be installed between the battery and the regulator for the trex600?
