Just womndering what the max temperature would be on an OS91 before you get into the danger zone? I had a short lean run on the 5th run in flight of my new 91HZ. My cheapo IR thermometer read 125 degrees on the cylinder wall. Would this temp level be likely to cause any damage and if so what would the symptoms be and would I be wise to open the engine and check it out?
The previous flight, the cylinder was at about 85 degrees and I only leaned it by a couple of clicks. Haven't traced the problem yet but I think It's either due to the muffler bolts becoming fractionally loose or a dodgy main needle (see this post: http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/engine...91hz-carb.html)
