    Hi i have a OS.50SX-H Ringed Hyper Engine and would like to know the best glow plug to replace the original ? dont want a cheap crappy one.

      I think many use the OS No.8.

      Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

          used to use enya 3 but have changed to o.s. 8 because of the cost, my engine goes through em weekly

                OS 8 and Enya 3 are roughly equivalent. Both are good.

                IIRC, Enyas get colder as the number gets higher (ie a 5 is colder than a 3) whereas OS are the opposite.

                Chris - if you're knocking out plugs weekly, you are probably running too hot a plug. Either try a cooler one, or put some shims under the head to reduce the compression ratio.

                A bearing breaking up will also knock out plugs!

                  There was a bad batch of Enya 3s. I got a couple that just blew PDQ.

                    checked the bearings in the engine, seem sweet, we found the pin that stops the piston ring from turning was slowly discintegrating, might mean a new engine soon. 75 hours old, probably in excess of 15 plugs
