Dial the elevator gain down to the 9 o clock position, other than that, it should be fine. I maidened my electric 700 FBL today, it was super easy and uneventful (apart from the stripped mod 1 main gear!)

Do you think the further increase in available power is going to perpetuate this Gear Stripping problem?

I started with the Align gears and stripped several on the trot, the Mod 1 conversion was an major improvement!

Think the key is getting the mechanicals spot on, if you have all should go well, i had to dial both gains down a bit and might still have to reduce a bit more

Cheers James they are spot on,the mechanical set up took ages the G3 was so easy i kept going back over it thinking i must have missed something,i have both gains at 12 o'clock do you suggest we turn them down before we start?

Well, just finished fitting mine which I got from matty-rex. He even included the main shaft in the deal.

Not sure if I will have time to fly it tomorrow, but it went in really easy. Makes me think I've missed something.

Everyone seems to comment on how well these things fly and track in big manoeuvres, which is my style of flying.

Apologies for the crap photo, it was taken on my phone.

I've seen a few times now that people are saying the 700 flys better with Raddix 710 blades. Is it the way to go, or does it work well enough on the Align 690D blades?

690D blades are fine Rob and really nice blades too.

If yo fancy spending some money get yourself a set of Radix 710's for the 700.

Not the Stick Banger version just the normal.

For learning to fly those would be ideal, Long heavy blades that tame the thing down and make it very stable.

No, the power at the main gear is the same as it would be on a FB model

The fact that the main gear has less to swing should help the situation if anything

Yes that actually should be the case I guess, less weight to get moving but then it's all reacting that much quicker too!

I haven't gone FBL yet I find my 700 manic enough and I hardly push it as it is so no point making it even more agile without the skill to use it!
