700 Engine...

Just lookin at 700 kit prices, and the different varients of OS/Align 91 engines and wondered what is the one to go for?

I have seen the

OS91 H
OS91 HP
OS91 HZ
OS91 HZ Ps 3d
OS91 HZ F3c

I was keen on the OS91 H due to price tbh, is this ok?

You want the 91HZ non pumped. I don't think the HZr is out yet which is the new regulated system from OS otherwise that would be the one to go for.

Have you considered a YS91SR?

Unless I am mistaken the 91 H is the Align variant of the OS.

Same with the 91 HP

Either way they are superb.

Forget the OS/Aligns and get a YS 91SR, amazing power, reliability, and consistency

I don't know anything about an OS91H but the Align 91H, 91HP and OS 91HZ are all the same except the 91HP has a slightly different shaped blue cylinder head.

If you are able to wait a month or so you could try one of the new 91HZR's which is supposedly the same as a 91HZ but with a new backplate and regulated carb.

Yes the OS91 are exactly the same as the Align varients as they are made by OS.

When you buy spares for the Align engines you buy OS spares.

I had the Align 91HP (Blue Head) and this is exactley the same as the black head (91H)

But as Jamie says, since I got my YS91SR and Hatori SB19 there is no real comparison between the 2

Either way you wont go wrong with any as long as you dont get a pumped OS

I have had 25 litres through my Align 91H now and its still getting more and more powerful, it is the same as the OS 91HZ with black square head and has served me well with a Hatori 939 muffler.
