Align 90 muffler bolts

I've read about people filing flat spots on the Align muffler (90 size) and using lock nuts for extra security. I was intending to do the same but there isn't room for the bolt unless you file away some of the actual 'exhaust port' section of the muffler which doesn't seem like a very good idea. Is anyone using additional nuts specifically on the Align 90 muffler? If so, how did you go about doing it?

I was using the aerotite nuts on my Align 90 muffler.

First I got 10mm longer bolts, you get these and the nuts from model fixings.

Then I got a small file and filed away until the nut could sit flat against the port section. The bit you file away is solid so does not affect the flow or nothing.

Did not look to pretty but my exhaust never fell of again and you could not really see it anyway
