it uses the stock bell cranks. Therefore it wouldn't be my first choice for a FBL conversion.
Some other frame designs (Heli Chris? Suzi Hans? can't remember which one) have direct swash linkage instead.
It does look like he is doing a different design for DTS for a FBL app.
Just from reading the first page, I did not read all of it.
"Sure some changes are in planning for the near future...Ive just ordered the flybarless system as the frames where built for a standard flybarred 700 nito kit..so now ive got the V-Stabi anf the rjx head Im going to design the flybarless as well as a direct to swash frame for both....Its interesting so see how these will turn out as there ar not that many options for space around the main shaft once you move the motor topside!"
Yes, but maybe it's simply a matter of tying them to the upper plate of the battery compartment. It looks level enough, and there seems to be plenty of space available, judging by the row of four screws in the picture.
With the stock frame I managed to raise only the rear battery - that should be one advantage of having the motor on top.
BTW this heli feel heavy in *any* orientation... oh well...
Yes there is that and that reminds me, Richy and Gareths 700LE E has this but I think they have mounted the motor on the top and put the front batt up.
I have not flown it so cant compare and I not sure what frames they use either, I will ask.

motor is still underneath on ours but the front battery is up under the receiver mount at the front. i'm also gonna look at maybe making another plate to raise the rear battery, but it will be minimal amounts so not sure its worth it.
