                Hi Chris.

The tail did infact give me a couple of moments but I think a reduction in the gain will sort that out.

As I said today was just about flying the thing and getting the feeling for it.

Next time out I will tweak the gain and reduce the pitch some more.

I know Fastlads sold out within hours, Get one pre ordered for when the next batch comes in.

                You won't regret it.

                    Yes mate I did.

There was a little talk about these FBL helis don't auto very well.

All I can say is mine does.

Thats what i wanted to hear. I've only flown and auto'd one FBL heli which was Mike Swashbuckler's 12s 600e. Felt ok to me then, but nervous as wasn't sure how it would react. This itch is becomming harder and harder not to scratch!

how is this considered a flying aid Tim? does it actually make the heli more stable than a flybarred version??

When I first started flying helicopters I purchased (right or wrong) a Helicommand to help me learn.

These are of course a flying aid, When setup you tilt the heli forward and the swash leans back.

Tilt the heli backwards and the swash leans forward.

Same with the aileron in each direction thus making the heli level on all accounts.

The Align FBL system does just the same with the swash with the only difference the Helicommand could be setup enough to hover your heli hands off the sticks.

The FBL system will definately not do this but does make it very stable.

Hope I explained this without sounding too biast towards it.

it makes the heli artificially track much straighter through wind for one. it was quite a strange sensation when i flew the fbl 600e, in fast backawards huricanes, it just sat there, no corrections like when flying a flybarred machine.

Great to hear your comments, how is it in loops does it still tend to 'screw' out or do you find it goes round with any correction?

Still got to keep things in comparison. The Helicommand would work in conjuction with a standard flybared heli, and the corrections it made for you aided the learning, hence being able to pretty much let go of the sticks and it would recover.

The new systems work on the same principle, but remember the flybar aint there anymore... so, all the corrections that the like of helicommand were making, the same corrections being made now are to compensate for lack of flybar.

The way i see it, its a natural progression in the evoloution of RC Heli's. The same sort of arguements were raised when HH gyro's started to appear.. Now they are considered the norm and accepeted.
