    The LE is a new machine,comes with metal grips,i believe its the first model to come with them as standard equipment,expect alot of misery reports in 2010

        Sorry mate,but its how im seeing it develope.Dont know it the nitro super pro comes with metal grips,i know my 600ESP didnt

        Ive just put the placcys on,you wouldnt know the difference to look at it

        Got metals on my 500,been on there from day one,no probs,greased the thrusts last week,washers fine....with the 600N comes weight,more weight on a 700,more risk

          Yea I had them on my 500 and my last 700 again no probs but then I dont fly as hard as these guys.

          Hope it just dodgy screws

            Dilemma.... what to do!

            My 600LE is three flights old. Do i crack on or modify!!

            Running out of money.....fast but don't want a misshap

              The slop in the thrusts is the heli killer
              Have you ever owned or inspected the tail grips of the Hirobo Sceadu? You would think, compared to other models, that there was something badly wrong with it. The slop when it is stationary is extraordinary. Why do you suppose there are thrust bearings in the tail grip? When that Hirobo tail grip gets up to speed there is no slop, all taken care of by centrifugal force.

              For those people that have had a bolt snap did you disassemble the grips and inspect it all before putting it back together? On my 700 the bolts were damaged, done up very tight and caked in loctite. After I cleaned out the hub I replaced the bolts.

                Mark had the same dilemma but we have three trex's with metal blade holders so i bought some new 3x8mm 12.9 grade bolts from model fixings,when i stripped them down they were all different some were tight some had locktight some had very little so i feel a lot happier now i have stripped cleaned and replaced and and locktighted the bolts myself we will see how we go,we had a bolt go on our 700 a few weeks back and its not good

                    There is also wear from the bottom of the bolt head on the top of the washer....fook that,if my heli was damaged cos of a flaw like this id be gutted again,having had a torque tube end sheer off in my tail gear box at 15ft im not taking any chances,those radix mains were spotless(imaginary crying smilie here)

                      Having read about the problems with the tail bolts on the 600/700LE's, I have fitted these to my tail grips and there is almost zero play in the grips now. There is a second bearing and a longer bolt that goes into the std. blade grip. If you want, I'll post the size on here, then you can just buy a pair of bearings and bolts and do the grip mod yourself.
