700 LE vs. Normal 700

Hi Everyone,

Sorry if this has already been covered, what really is the difference between the 700 and the 700 LE?

I can't to tell the difference in the flying atm, have them both setup the same but the LE has a YS 91 SR and the normal 700 has an OS 91 Pumped.

So just wondering if there is actually any changes to them that makes them different in any way.

EDIT: Also added a poll to see what everyone would go for.

there is a few changes.

1. the bling is silver
2. the canopy is white
3. tail grips metal

it is that simple.

think its just the head colour and canopy, they havent done any thing with the boomstays to stop them falling off

So really there is no mechanical difference what-so-ever? I was wondering if to just get an old 700 second hand or something. So may do now.

Also the le comes with a -1 gear as standard.
I voted for the le, as if you don't have the kit to install it is a damn site cheers to get going

the normal 700 has the -1. if you don't have one you have an old kit i'm pretty sure.

plus there is a pining hole for the boom at front of heli, there aint on the normal 1

that is also a revision of parts. brand spanking new normal 700's will get that. the problem is it will take months for those new black 700's to circulate and become the normal.

My 'normal' 700 has the front pinning hole for the boom, but doesn't have the mod 1 gear. Must have been an in-betweeny kit.

Shay, I'm a little confused mate. Your post is asking if you should get the old one, but on your signature, you say you have both a 700 and a 700LE?

it isn't a mod 1 gear its a -1 its the same tooth pitch just they made the diameter of the gear slightly larger to improve the mesh.

ive been thinking about getting another 700 to go with the one ive got but im thinking Id be better off going for the standard version

firstly, all parts will be interchangable
secondly, it'll be the rarer one around the flying fields
