Setting up Align Gov

Never done it before but just read the instructions and it looks easy enough.

But I will be going through the gear channel therefore as I see it will be able to turn the gov on and off regardless of flight mode, correct me if I'm wrong please.
But my question is how do I set this up with my DSX9 as it has the simple gov screen so I just set the desired % in that and all done I assume this is just by playing with something in the radio

You are already sorted with your DX7 mate.

The DSX9 has a dedicated governor channel different to the DX7.

On a DSX9

Plug the Gov on the GEAR channel on your RX

DeviceSEL:
Gear=Gear SW OUT:GOV
AUX2=AUX2 SW OUT:Gyro

Your Gvoernor menu is now active and you then just choose % to for the Headspeed you want to fly:
RCE-G600 Governor


If you want 1800, 1900 and 1950 RPM in normal, Idle 1 and Idle 2 then:
1) Plug the yellow lead into the gear channel of course
2) go into the main setup screen where you can pick device selection
3) scroll thru the choices till you get to the gear channel, make sure it is act and keep scrolling till you get below it and push the scroll wheel until you see gov showup
4) get the instruction sheet that came with the governor
4) go back to the "list" screen and scroll down to governor
5) when you go into the gov screen pick the setting that shows you 0,1,2
6) for position 0 (normal mode)enter the percentage, roughly 71%, that the instr sheet shows for the headspeed you are wanting. Or use 0% to disable the Governor in normal mode
7) for position 1 (idle up 1) same step as above, should be around 77%
8) for position 2 (idle up 2) same as above, should be around 80%
9) of course the heli will need to be tached for an exact setting but the perct's on the instr sheet are very very close.
