  • flybar snapped on the 600np

hi all, i was flying the 600np today, did a tailslide, sharp stick movement and the flybar snapped off on both sides, i had no control at all, i ended up in a heap but no broken blades, i dont know wether to be happy or sad.

has anyone else had this happen,

    cheers chris

i wasnt high enough, the flybar went through the blades and because it was a tailslide i pushed forward and the flybar hit the tail

I take it Align one not a copy?
not had any small crashes with it?
has it ever had vibration problems before?
              which paddles do you use?
              sorry lots of questions

thats really unlucky to have both sides snap at the same time. I've snapped them a few times on my old knight, but that was with some reasonably agressive flying and after a good few months of use. Have you ever bent it and re-straigtened it?

did it break where the grub screws squash it? or where it exits the aluminium cage bar?
Is there a chouice between stainless and black carbon steel on these? (stainless would be more likely to break).

the model is 2 years old and the flybar about 3 i think, took it apart tonight and looked at the flybar, when i looked closely it appear the flybar snapped off sideways????
i was using the align carbon fiber paddles, but, one is still somewhere in the field because it flew off somewhere, im now gonna use miniture aircraft x-cell 3d pro paddles that weigh 20g so its gonna be twichy, does anyone else use these

Just fatigue then if its that old. Change it, fit some new paddles and go fly

How cold was it? Might it be a failure caused by metal fatigue induced by the weather conditions??
