TBH I looked around at the time I brought those sets and for the cost and ease of just changing the whole units I went with the originals.

Bearings will always get shot to bits in any crash Bish.

Its standard practice in my fleet to replace them after a crash.

Yeah, I would just stick with the originals.
I don't think I ever changed the main shaft bearings on my 700 while I owned it, and that took some hammer in the air (but not crashed).

Maybe you got unlucky with a bad set of bearings previously?

                      Fingers crossed
                      Cheers,

i replaced the quite a few bearings in my 700 with the ones from rc bearings when i got it second hand, i also had a spare set of bearing blocks that i've replaced the bearings in for when the time comes, seems a waste to keep buying the blocks when its just the bearings that need changing, takes about 5 mins to change the bearings in the blocks

the bearing code is 6901ZZ they're 80p each on rcbearings

I found the bearings for my 500 main shaft were less than half the price of the Align jobbies, and they are reputed to be a better bearing too.

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.
