700 LE - Distorted Canopy

I am just finishing off my 700LE build and have got as far as fitting the stock canopy. When I removed the canopy from the box I found that it is quite distorted and twisted. I have tried hot water and the hair drier but some but not complete success and there is a noticeable flat spot on the left side.

Are there any other tricks to sort this out??? If not it's going back to Fast Lads on Friday!

Place the canopy in a jig or similar where you want it and keep the heat on it with a hair drier or similar, It "WILL" re-shape if you hold it long enough and keep it in the jig until it goes cold.

i had exactly the same and was distressed about the condition of the canopy when i opened the box

However.... its just the way they pack it and all you need to do is fit the grommets and then fit to the heli and leave it on for a couple of days in the warm. I fitted mine during the build when i had the frames on the skids and it straightened itself out no problem.

All the ripples down the sides and the twist in it will go mate

my dad had the same too, he simply fitted it and over a few nights its was fine

I took mine back to REAL RAPTORS as it was all shapesAndy suggested holding it over a boiling kettle and hey presto now perfect
